No I'm pretty positive braiding has nothing to do with hair growth..

It's good for your hair if you hav long hair or hair that's knots easily cause it means you will have less breakage and knots:) just my experience.

I'm 100% positive that braiding does no damage to your hair, and it does not slow your hair growth.

I've heard that it helps your hair as it keeps it protected and keeps it from tangling which means less brushing it and less dirt. But I've also heard doing tight braids will damage it as your causing the hair to stretch and pulling on the hair follicle. But I am not sure these are actual facts it's just stuff that I've heard here and there.

What kind of braids?
^^ what you said about the tight braids is correct
also nothing you do to your hair will make it grow faster.
However, proper care will ensure that your hair is healthy. (and that gives you the illusion of it growing faster bc your not losing any hair)

Well I'm sorry I guess not YES but depending on what kind of braid and how tight it's pulling on your roots yes!

As long as its done correctly and the wearer provides proper maintenance while the hair is braided then one should not experience in change in growth. Hair braiding does not accelerate hair growth. Dy D said it best in regards to that lil myth.

Braiding is actually a protective style and as long as your braids aren't too tight you'll be ok.

As long as you're braid isnt too tight, it should be fine. Usually only really right ponytails and especially messy buns might damage your hair, so just make sure when you do your hairstyles do them loose if you can ☺️
