The best ways to get rid of them that have worked for me have included the OCM and/or chemical exfoliants these methods really deep clean and the OCM sucks out all the dirt n oil deep inside your pores but it's not for everyone - chemical exfoliants are much safer and still work very well but may take some time before you see results - so for chemical exfoliants I personally use a BHA exfoliant by Paula's choice but I also use an AHA exfoliant once a week by Mario badescu the glycolic foaming cleanser and now my once large pores n black heads are so small and clean you can't even see or notice them it's great!

Thank you so much, Diana! It's good I came to know about these... My face sucks! It was made porous by a face clean up parlour. They used to sctub out my pimpleas which had the white puss and spread it all over and remove blackheads too. So new pimples grew double on those pores!
It is soooooo insulting when others advice you for pimples. Many tsachers have adviced me for Yoga to lose pimples. I mean in front of the whole class! I know it was for my good, but it is sooooooooo embarrassing!

Thank you Diana T. For your suggestions. I went out to Ulta today and purchased the Mario Badescu glycolic foaming cleaner. I have huge pores on my nose and blackheads

The only things really strong enough to help clear out (and thoroughly) deep clean pores for me are salicylic acid and BHA. I have tried almost every skin product and routine under the sun, and have found these to be the only effective things for me. I steam my face before bed (just have a soft hot wash cloth on my face for a few minutes), which helps to really open up my pores. Then I use a gel cleanser and wash my face (try Michael Todd Organics Charcoal Detox Deep Pore gel cleanser or Eileen Mai's Salicylic Acid cleanser). Then I finish with a toner containing Salicylic acid and/or BHA. (Make sure to use an alcohol-free one).
Dirty air and pillowcases also contribute to blackheads, so consider getting an air purifier in your home/bedroom, and wash your pillowcase often. Also make sure whatever makeup you use, that you get it ALL off your skin before bed.
I also like to apply a detox/deep pore mask while in the shower (the steam makes it more effective).
I will be purchasing some of Eminence's Sour Cherry Masque (which is said to help tighten and minimize pores). You can buy samples of it here:

Etsy.com also offers a lot of organic product options... check out:
