I am going and getting my hair trimmed tomorrow and I was thinking about getting it balayaged. But the thing is I have very dark brown hair that has never been bleached and coloured before and my hairdresser is very 'protective' of it, for example she is very hesitant and doesn't want to bleach my hair. But anyways I have some examples and I was just wondering your thoughts on what I should do so my hair doesn't get destroyed.

This color is gorgeous! You can always ask your stylist to use a gentler dye. They always have in stock different brands, and some are less damaging. You can also ask your stylist if she can use a low volume developer and leave it on for a longer time. This method does not damage your hair as much apparently.

@jamie, all bleach will deactivate after an hour so leaving it on longer then that isn't going to do anything. Your hairdresser is probably nervous shell damage your hair, I know some hairdressers feel quite intimidated when it comes to lightening hair and sometimes will just refuse to do it because they don't want to be responsible for any damage done. The pictures you posted should be quite easy for her to colour match if you do get it done :) dark hair tends to lighten to that sortof shade.

I got my hair recently done and I wanted natural copper baylage. No bleach was used, it was just a lightener. :)
