I'd suggest going to a derm. Though, I've heard Vitamin C serum can help also always wear sunscreen so they don't darken

I've had the clarisonic for about two years now I love it but it doesn't help much with my dark spots and I use the cetaphil moisturizer with SPF 15 should I use actual sunscreen on my face?

I really like the tea tree oil mask from the body shop, for a DIY try a yogurt mask for exfoliating but a dermatologist could probably give you sth more effective.

Another DIY is turmeric and honey mask
You could try a couple and see what works best for your skin just don't try lemon on your face it could be irritating to skin so don't risk it there are plenty more options to try :)

Try cliniques even better clinical dark spot corrector. I've had lots of clients with great results. You have to use it religiously tho. Twice a day or you won't get the results you're looking for.

You need to wear SPF daily in order to prevent any further scarring. Any anti oxidant serum, paired with a chemical exfoliant and a dark spot corrector can help reduce/diminish the appearance of scars.
If you have the option available, then definitely check out any treatments any esthetician or dermatologist can offer for your scarring as well.

I use Paula's Choice 2% Salicylic Acid exfoliating Solution and PC's Pure Radiance Brightening Serum and my dark spots have been going away quickly. I also wear Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30

StabilIzed vitamin C serum and spf of atleast 30 in the daytime exfoliating with a Aha exfoliater and using retinol at night will help tremendously.
