I'd really like to try either the charcoal and black sugar mask, or the revealing peel off mask. I've looked up multiple reviews for both, but I just can't decide. I have combination, acne prone skin, but my main issues are blackheads and dullness. Both masks seem good for these issues, so I'd like your help and experience in deciding :)

I loooove the charcoal one! It makes your face feel warm lol and it's an exfoliator as well as a mask :) I bought it because I thought it would be a dupe for the MAC Volcanic Ash, but I havent tried the MAC so I can't compare lol. I've been wanting to try the peel off one too :)

@Renay aaw how come you hated it? I've heard good things about the avocado mask for sensitive skin :)
@Grace I've heard about the warming up bit, is it intense? Hehe my skin can be finicky over what makes it sensitive.

@Traci am I gross to think it's kinda fun? Like letting glue dry on your hand and peeling it off in grade school :P but I trust your word :)

Idk they just feel weird lol..not a fan. They're not even soothing, nor do they feel like they do anything! Haha I hate peeling them off. And hmm I don't have sensitive skin, but it's awesome I love it!

@Renay ah I see :) I'll keep that one in mind too, thank you!

I just used a rose paper mask from Freeman's last night, and my usually incredibly dull skin was literally glowing afterwards. I'd highly recommend it. It's only $1.37 at my Walmart and its a one application only mask, so if you hate it you aren't stuck with an entire container of it. I'd recommend trying both of the masks you listed with the one mask packets, actually, because you won't have to purchase an entire tube if you end up disliking them. (:

@Regan that's a good idea, I didn't think of the single use paper masks! Thanks so much :)

I love the charcoal one out of those 2. The avocado and oatmeal and also the clay mint and lemon are my favorites.

@taylor I've been looking at clay masks too, would I be able to use a clay mask along with the scrub (on different days of course) or would that be too much for my skin?

If you go to walmart you can buy those 1-time use packets if freeman masks...I would do that first!

What grace said!
I bought it for the same reason. bavent tried the Mac one yet as well.
I like it, I'm on my 3rd tube.
if your having acne n blackheads I'd suggest the queen Helene mint Julip mask. I didn't know what all yhe fuss was about with mint julip but it was fab they summer when I was getting oily n breakouts..
I've been using the freemans charcoal a lot more this last two wks as its cooling down again.. the sugar leaves behind nice moisture while the charcoal deep cleans.
and what Traci said.. those peel off mask are awful!!. I have it

Lol some people like the feeling it just gets stuck on my brows and my edges can't take it ,but I did use to love to let glue dry on my hands and peel it off so I get your point lmao.

Yeah Elizabeth I usually exfoliate twice a week and do one mask per week :)

For dullness, I like the chocolate strawberry clay mask from freeman.

@Jocelyn I think that's what I'll do :)
@Naomi I had tried the mint julep mask, but I think I was allergic to it :( it seemed to burn more than it was supposed to, and my face would itch the next day. Such a pity, it was a nice mask. Thanks :)
@Traci hehe I didn't think of that, maybe the same sensation just isn't as great on your face.
@Taylor awesome, I may get samples for both! Thanks :)
@Khushbu that sounds delicious o.o hehe. I'll definitely look into that one too. So many choices!

Definitely don't use that if it burns! so sorry.
but the charcoal blk sugar is nice. :)
Sep 16, 2014
Elizabeth C.
@Naomi definitely not hehe. I think I'm definitely trying that one and one of their clay masks. Thanks everyone for your input!
