I think it would be adorable with black heels. For Macys, I don't think it's too over dressed at all :) good luck!

I would go with a blouse and some slacks. My mom works at Macys and Nordstorm, their attire is usually black so I would try to stick to that.

I think for an interview its too risky I wore something similar years ago and the person who interviewed me honestly told me I took a big risk wearing that she also suggested I should have worn a cardigan over it or something with sleeves I was so embarrassed

NO JEANS. Ugh how many times do I have to tell people that? Denim of any color is NEVER, EVER appropriate for an interview.

That dress looks too casual to me, and it needs something on top (a cardigan, a blazer) to cover the shoulders. The hemline is also not appropriate; a high-low or flounced hem is not professional.

Kitty is absolutely right. Slacks and a nice blouse is the most professional. Black, navy, grey, brown, khaki... All acceptable. Stay away from tight fits. Blouses should cover the cleavage and shoulders. No sheer fabrics, bright colors, or loud prints.

If it isn't high-low and hits around your knees, it will be fine. With a cardigan over it and some conservative heels it should be okay.

Don't be nervous. The interview is a conversation. They are learning about you as much as you are learning about them. Think of it as a discussion about how you fit in with the company; you highlight your strong points with your responses and your resume, and they try to tell you how great it is to work there. You are just as empowered as the interviewer-- you are deciding whether the job is a good fit for you! Try not to be anxious, most interviewers won't bite.
