Its not like shampooing is going to give you really unhealthy hair...I say just wash your hair with a no sulfate, no paraben shampoo. Wash your hair 2-3 times a week, because anything less would be a bit too unsanitary...Shampoo isnt bad for her in general.

Dry shampoo works wonders.. I only wash my hair once a week and when I first started dry shampoo was my best friend and it Still comes in handy when my hair starts looking oily towards the end!!

An it's not "unsanitary" to wash it less. it actually is a lot better to wash you hair less. you wash all your natural oils out which causes to become dry and if you dye your hair it saves quiet a bit of cash. I couldn't start out not washing my hair once a week as before I use to daily but I had to take baby steps.

Shampoo isn't going to make you have ugly unhealthy hair. just use a sulfate free shampoo. otherwise do dry shampoo.

You can use dry shampoo. That's what I did when I started cutting down on my shampooing. I only shampoo once a week now and I don't even have to use dry shampoo anymore and my hair isn't unsanitary lol

Organix has some really nice shampoos and conditioners, and some of them are sulfate and paraben free. And Herbal Essences has a new "naked" shampoo and conditioner line too.

All you really need is a sulfate free shampoo. I have a huge mane of curly hair and I use a cowash to cleanse my hair and once a month I reach for a sulfate free clarifying shampoo to remove any buildup from my stylers. As far as it being unsanitary to wash your hair less often...absolute myth. As Tori P mentioned washing your hair less is actually a good thing.

I can't remember the last time I used any type of shampoo, but my hair never ever ever gets oily so I don't have any need for one. I think that's the only way you can go totally shampoo-free. If your hair gets oily, you need a shampoo. Like everyone else said, dry or sulfate free will cleanse and remove excess oil without drying or being damaging.

So would I use a sulphate free shampoo everytime I shampoo? I would only shampoo once a week. What's the difference between that one and clarifying shampoo
