How to hide my blue tips?

I'm going to start applying to places that are much more professional than where I work now and I want to cover my blue tips for the interview process and if and when I get the job I'll dye it if I need to. I was wondering if anyone knows any hairstyles that would help hide it? I'm not the greatest at complicated hairstyles, so simple ones would be best. I'll post a picture if it helps. Thanks so much in advance for any suggestions!

Headband updo! Super simple too - you can find tons of tutorials on youtube.

You could do a faux bob. I don't know how hard it is, but there are plenty of tutorials out there.

I'm sorry Olivia but that's how it works, I know in my job if I showed up with unnaturally coloured hair to an interview I wouldn't have been hired. It is generally considered unprofessional. You can hide it for the interview and then ask about the dress code to see if you can get away with it when actually in the job but for the interview I think it's completely right to hide it.

And I agree with Elizabeth, BubzBeauty has a fab faux bob tutorial that's really easy to follow. I followed it when I was toying with the idea of going short and it really worked, if I can do it anyone can, trust me :P

Best of luck at your interviews :)

I completely see your point Olivia! But like Becky said, that's sometimes how it goes and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thank you Elizabeth and Becky for your suggestions!

Your lucky obviously, but generally that is 'how it is'. Your area is the exception.
And any type of bun would hide it really. Once its up just mess around with it to make sure its all out of sight :)

I don't know why you have to be so cocky about everything Olivia. Like you preach what you speak like it's the only truth there is. I'm sorry if you disagree or feel as though I'm being an asshole but the way you speak is so off putting to me. Sorry again for speaking my mind but for some reason it bothers me lmao.

I like the headband updo looks super cute and professional. Interviews are like first impressions so yes I do cover up my arm and chest outta reaspect. After or during the interview you can ask dress code and so on.

You obviously live in a very different place to me but I bet she covered up her tattoos for the interview.

Interviews and the actual job are very different. For example, I wear jeans to work and that's fine by the dress code but I wouldn't dream of wearing them to an interview.

As a general rule, you dress up and put across a "typical professional" look for an interview and then you put through your personality (dress code allowing) after you've got the job. It's all about first impressions and if you've got two equally qualified and experienced candidates I'm sure an interviewer would be more likely to favour the person who put across a "typical professional" vibe during the interview than someone who might be a bit more "alternative" as it's almost like showing you're willing to adapt to a situation (eg: with people from cultures where modesty is favoured you're not going to show up in a mini skirt), not saying that someone else wouldn't but that's what you put across.

No, it's not right and it should be about who can best do the job but that's how it works the vast majority of the time.

As someone who is responsible for interviewing job candidates, I will tell you that in 99% of places, unnatural colored hair is unacceptable. Sorry, but it isn't professional. Period. A job interview is not the place for self-expression. Neither is work, if you get the job. Cover your tattoos, remove your piercings, and conceal the crazy hair. Sorry to sound harsh, but that's life. You have plenty of time outside of work to rock whatever look you want. Colored hair is associated with rebellious youth-- not the impression you want to give at an interview.

You may be able to conceal it in a bun or in some of the headband wrap styles the lovely ladies above have posted. If it comes down to it, it may be easier to buy a wig or dye your hair, then color it again if you land a job where it is allowed.
