Primer tips?

I have total combo skin (oily forehead, dry cheeks) and I can definetly not afford expensive makeup brands like urban decay. Needless to say, I need tips on how to make my makeup last all day. Right now I have a primer by NYC but it doesn't do any good. Help?

Use revelon's photofinish primer and setting spray. Also use their seperate eye primer. Be sure to put on primer after moisturizing.
