Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid or Glycolic Acid.
BP is a stronger version of Tea Tree Oil, and SA is a Beta Hydroxy Acid and Glycolic is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid.
For stubborn breakouts definitely step it up with an exfoliant as well and SPF as to not irritate your skin and get sun damage.
Clearasil has a BP spot gel and the Neutrogena Rapid Clear lotion is a BHA exfoliant in a lotion form.

Out of curiosity which tea tree oil did you use? the one at the drugstore/walmart is 80% and can get rid of anything, but the body shop one is 15% and takes forever haha.
