Probably A Really Stupid Question...

This should probably be obvious to me, but I've never done it before tonight and now I'm wondering.

I dye my hair every four weeks. I use conditioner regularly. However lately due my hair has been really dry (thank you aging and hormonal imbalances). Anyway, I dyed my hair tonight and decided to put this really really thick leave in conditioner treatment I have in it afterwards, covered it with a plastic hair bag, then with a hair towel. Now I'm wondering, was this a bad idea to do the same night I died it? Will it cause my color to leach out faster?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

I don't think so when I dyed my hair I had to bleach it first then when I was done bleaching it I used a keratin deep conditioning mask that had many benefits and one was that it helped the color stay longer. :)

Lol Kelly..
I haven't put color in my hair in awhile but your usually suppose to use a good conditioner after so in theory you should b fine if not better than usual. but everything is different for each individual so that's always an option that it could a thing for you specifically. but again. you should b a-O K!

I think your fine it keeps the dye from drying your hair out ,now if it was a rinse I wouldn't advise it

Traci knows hair!!.
yeah rinsed sit on top of the hair shaft so the color would in fact slide off.
perm color digs deep. lol.

Kelly, it will be ok. conditioner really shouldn't effect the color. In the salon we deep condition first, basically to prep the hsir and scalp and to prevent further damage and drying. try that next time, maybe the night before you color.
