I come from a really hairy family lol in a way is good because I have a lot of hair in me head. At the same time bad, because am sort of hairy lol. I have very few in my top back which am curious in removing the safe way avoiding them to grow back thick. What do you guys recommend? Any one done something about it?

Have you tried to bleach them?? :) they last up to a month and are way less noticeable

Not really! Do they sell a kit for that?

It's not going to grow back thicker, that's a myth. you can wax, shave, bleach, etc.

I would bleach it! I have dark hair along my stomach so I use Jolen's creme bleach, you can get it at a drugstore. I believe Nair and Veet have bleaching kits as well but I haven't used them. Just make sure you follow the instructions and it's great!

Bleaching is great option. If you want to remove the hair I recommend waxing out epilating

Shaving does make hair grow thicker. Tons of people shave their arms and there hair grow out thick

It really doesn't. shaving just makes the hair have a blunt edge instead of the fine pointed edge, so it appears that way.

@Kat
My hair definitely did grow back darker and thicker. I used to have really thin blonde hair...and now it's dark and coarse. I guess it just depends on the person

Shaving doesn't cause any kind of change in the composition of the hair. It's physically impossible. Hair can change naturally with hormone changes, environmental changes, etc. Likely the hair that grew back was your real texture and color, just unchanged by exposure to the elements and friction like the previous hair had been.

Waxing or epilation is the fastest and most long lasting temporary method. Bleaching can be an option but the hair will still be there; plus you never know if you're going to have a reaction to the bleach.

I am willing to bet that hardly anyone notices the hair, and if they do they are just being nitpicky. If it really bothers you though, there are plenty of options. :)

Well it's coarse because you have a flat blunt edge now, like I said. making it appear thicker. & I didn't say anything about the color.

I heard that back in the 1900s ladies would use peroxide the thing we use to clean cuts instead of alochol.

It's hard to tell your exact complexion from your pictures, but bleaching can actually make hair stand out against some darker skintones. When I bleached my hair I accidentally got some on my (naturally quite dark) arm hair and now it looks fluorescent against my skin. Plus, the logistics of bleaching your back seems quite difficult.

I'd advise waxing. If it's not a lot of hair it won't hurt much, and waxing tends to thin out hair regrowth (not the hair itself). I think it's because of growth cycles, but I've also heard repeated waxing can damage the follicles so they can't produce hair anymore. Either way, it won't have the blunt edge like shaving produces, so it won't feel courser or thicker.
