Ok I'm getting braces tomorrow and should I get clear braces or normal ones I'm hesitant about clear cuz they look like bumps on your teeth. Thanks for the help.

When I had braces clear was fine but colour was good too, either way the colour fades and changes but everytime you go get them tightened you can get the colour changed which is normally every couple of weeks :) aslong as you brush just as often as you do now and brush inbetween the wires it shouldn't matter what colour you get :) just try not to worry about it :) get your favourite colour or get a rainbow I've seen that a few times :) it's personal preference really :) make sure you ask for some wax for the backs of your braces as it does tend you get a bit sore :) hope it goes well!👍

I just have metal ones without the colored bands. Clear/white bands can get stained easily. I don't have bands mainly because it's harder to keep my teeth clean and no one really gets colors in high school. But a baby blue or sky blue color would be pretty.

I think she means the braces themselves not the elastics. I would get clear I had it for 2 and a half years and it never got dirty or yellow. it looks so much better than the silver metal onea.

I had braces for six years as well, and I usually got to pick two colors. I liked wild color combos like hot pink and purple, orange and blue, lime green and hot pink... I mean you're stuck with them, might as well make it an accessory. ;) I tended not to get white or clear because they get kind of grungy, and I didn't get black because from a distance it makes your teeth look like they have holes in them. You can get silver bands that match the metal if you don't care for colors.
Definitely be sure to brush and floss, especially if you're prone to cavities. It's good to brush after every meal, but that can be a pain if you're not at home--in those instances a swish+spit with water is usually sufficient to get debris out of the wires.

I always get navy because dark colors make your teeth look whiter. My best friend got the clear brackets and they look terrible now. We have had our braces for the same amount of time (a year and a half) and mine look better now.

I've got braces right now and I have the white wire and the clear rubber bands on them. The bands are yellowish now but I don't really care.. It honestly isn't noticeable.

A family member of mine recently got those off. They took forever. The bumps are awkward and you have to take the plastic lining off every time. However, I would go with whatever you think it best.

I'd wouldn't go with the clear ones because whenever you eat or drink something with citrus, they turn yellow and don't look too good. Good luck today! I get mine off soon 😬

I never had braces but I'd personally get blue or a colour with a blue undertone so it'll make your teeth look whiter haha :)

My mom had the clear ones for 18 months and I would forget she is wearing them. I didn't even notice when she got them off until she pointed it out.

Okay for clear are people referring to clear brackets, clear bands on metal brackets, or clear trays (Invisalign)? Those are three different things, and people aren't being very specific.
