Moisturizing. The BEST moisturizer out there is coconut oil from trader Joe's. It will really get rid of your dry patches. Trust me I used to have the same problem. Just mlet the coconut oil on your hand (A little goes a long way) and spread on face. Wait for like a minute until rinsing off face. To make it super super soft, put on moiturizer from drugstore.

The trick for me has been to put on an oil.
I won't put on foundation without a bit of Jojoba or Argan Oil. ( I don't use a primer )
It most certainly makes the world of the difference. I don't have 'dry patches'.
I also recommend using a very light-weight moisturizer. Heavier moisturizers easily clash with foundation.
