Primer and foundation with different bases?

I have insanely sensitive skin so I have a very hard time finding a foundation and primer that won't break me out. I've tried so many primers but the only one that doesn't make me break out is the Hourglass Veil Mineral primer which is silicone based. I use L'Oreal true match foundation which I believe is water based? I also just bought MUFE Mat Velvet + which I also think is water based. I read that you're not supposed to use 2 different based products on your face but I can't find anything I'm not allergic to. my makeup looks good for a few hours then it starts looking weird, almost like you can tell I'm wearing foundation instead of giving me a flawless face. is there anything I can do to make these combinations work?

Maybe try Ben Nye setting spray to make your foundation stay longer.

I would definitely directly message Miss Jackie about this issue.. especially when it comes to mix-matching bases :p
she'd probably be your best bet for getting a proper answer!
