For prom, I want long nails. I kind of want acrylics, or something like those. What do you guys recommend? I don't want anything crazy, but I do want long nails for prom since it's a special ocassion.

I heard that gels were better for your nails. definitely don't do fake nails to glue on... for design I don't know.. what is your dress going to be like?

I would defs go for UV gel! Acrylics will make your nails very weak and brittle once you get them taken off!

If you want them just for the night, you can get the press on nails, they are surprisingly strong

Heyyyy I don't recommend with Acrylics itz looks nice whn you put them but once you hav removed them you wouldn't bliv how bad they will be.

A lot of my friends got their nails done the color of their dress with glitter on that, and I believe the nail itself was gel, not acrylics, enjoy your prom! :)

I'd for gels or shellacs. They last longer and won't damage your nail as much.

Talk about acrylic hate!! as long as the therapist does them properly, and properly I mean NO electric files, they will be fine. provided you take them off properly- no biting or pulling!!

I agree with laura. When done properly there shouldnt be any damage. gel and acrylic both with long term cause damage to your nails. Everyone sees acrylic as such a negative procedure but everything causes damage your nail. Wrap,gel,silk, acrylic etc.
