What can I do to my hair over night so I can get cute waves or a sort of curl?

Get it damp then put it into loose braids. Or one big braid for bigger and looser waves.

I personally find that braiding gives me more of a crimped look. you could also try dampening your hair and twisting your hair into two-4 buns and in the morning it should be wavy.
