I heard after accutane you lose your acne but a couple months after it comes back..

I finished a few months ago and I only get about 1 pimple around my time of the month and it goes as soon as it's over. Some people (not most) have to go through multiple treatments. My skin was pretty bad and I mean I had over 20 pimples on my face at all time. Big ones lol. And it has wiped out everything and I have no scarring. I only get maybe 1 a month for like 2 days. If even any at all.

My sisters been off it for a year or two and her skin is completely clear. She had a lot of cystic acne.

Either way accutane rewrites the body chemistry and will (eventually) work and wipe everything out. Proactiv however makes the skin worse after stopping using it (and in some cases while using it)

Accutane literally dries you out. it expels all oils so of course it will get worse and terrible because it's expelling all the oil and moisture out. you will noticed your skin getting very dry and you being very thirsty and lips being dry and even your hair. but eventually it goes away and gets better.

Accutane is very strong. it works on a lot of people even ones with very mild acne. But because it dries you out and alters your body composition so much...doctors usually only prescribe it to those with severe acne or cystic acne.

I was on Accutane for about half a year and it worked fantastically. I had acne all over my face chest and back and I get maybe a few close to my time of the month and that's it. I have been off of it for about two years now. I have very little scarring from it too.
