I use Sephora's contouring kit and it's a powder. If you use liquid foundation, then you would use a creamy highlight. You first apply your base foundation then add the contouring!

Also, be sure to get a highlighting brush. Sigma has one that isn't extremely expensive.

Ugh, I'm sorry, but I wish that the idea that oval is the perfect or ideal face shape would just go away. Your face is perfect because it's there. It's functional. It allows your bones and muscles to stay inside. Nobody should feel bad about the shape of their face because it's not oval. You can highlight your face in any place that you want the light to bounce off of more - the shimmer makes more light reflect off of that area.

Jacqueline - simply saying that there *is* an ideal face shape means that the other face shapes are not ideal. The very word ideal means the very best that something can be, which would imply that all others are not as good. However, I didn't mean my post directly to be a criticism of you, but of the industry and media in general who are the ones impressing on us that there is such a thing as a perfect face shape.

Powder highlighter at the end. If you have a liquid luminizer I like mixing it with my foundation for an extra glow.. :)
