I like using Tresemme's naturals line. It's fantastic! It has a good slip to it so it's great for detangling.
L'oreal's Evercreme line did well, along with Organix ( I bought the Jumbo sized one at BJ's wholesale - so it wasn't pricey for me. )
My hair type is normal to dry, so I only use conditioner. I rarely use shampoo. Conditioner typically has mild cleansing agents in it which are gentle, unlike most shampoo's.

Use organic things. Like alba. Sulfates are very damaging.

I'm kind of on the hunt too and I can tell you for me, herbal essence made my hair feel "too clean" and dry :/

The herbal essences cleansing conditioner is completely terrible imo compared to wen, save your money and don't buy it.
