I have natural loose curls and over a period of years have used straighteners a lot!! My curls are damaged and out of shape! How can I get my old curls back? X.

Well number one, avoid any heat. I had the same problem, but now, my hair is healthier then ever. I don't use a blow dryer, I let it air dry. And I rarely straighten my hair anymore. Also try different curl products.

What Kaitlyn said! Also every week deep condition your hair - leave it on to 3-10 mins depending on how damaged your hair is.

The sane thing happened to me a few years ago. I would straighten my hair every. single. day. I would wash it almost everyday too. It was dry and frizzy and my curls wouldn't even curl anymore causing me to straighten it more and more.
-I stopped using heat. completely. I would straighten it like once a month. if that.
-I started washing it only 3x a week.
-I would always make sure it didn't run out of moisture. kind of like growing a plant, always want your soil to be moist. so I would use a deep conditioner in the shower, and leave in conditioner after the shower. along with hair serum, coconut oil, I honestly don't remember what else I used but I made sure it never went dry.
-my curls were never restored. however, all my new hair that grew in, were beautiful, healthy bouncy curls. I just kept cutting off my old hair until it was completely gone.
sorry for the long story lol hope I helped
