Morning girls!! I was just wondering what do you girls do to take care of your skin and how do you keep scheduled ( like days of anti aging and days of masks or pimple care) I'm having the hardest time now that I'm not on my birth control and I'm getting hormonal break outs but I'm also doing anti aging. I'm just wondering how do you keep a balance or a schedule for your skin if that makes sense and what products do you use!! I was using the apricot scrub for my break outs and it's working but I heard is very bad for your skin and a mint mask to dry them out!! I also use exuviance age reverse bio active wash, Cindy Crawfords eyes and glow serum the glow serum is only used on days with out make up or even under and I use st ives to moisturize since my skin is super dry! I'm telling you my skin care is all over the place and not In a particular order through out the week!! I just don't know how to balance it out!! I was also soooo eyeing this anti aging kit that traci told me about by Mario bedesue if any of you guys have used it!! So thoughts or advice is appreciated!!

Just keep it simple hun cleanse twice a day tone, use a anti aging serum day and night a eye cream then moisturize exfoliate twice a week ,I don't recommend apricot scrub the grains are made of shells and cause micro tears in the skin if your going to use a manual exfoliater find one with rounded
beads like Aveeno positively radiant scrub,or you can use a enzyme exfoliater or Alpha hydroxy acid exfoliater, and moisturizer and spf daily, then treatment mask once a week

Your welcome sweety ,just to clarify a scrub won't clear up a break out products with salicylic acid can help that thou and you can spot treat the area with salicylic, tee tree or benzoyl peroxide.

@ traci is noxzema foaming wash blemish control pretty good!! I heard its kinda hard to get rid of Hormonal break outs since it's hormonal I usually break out around my mouth and chin and I notice like if I use that apricot scrub on it they go away but then they come back ingrown or their just come ingrown

Yea you really can't stop hormonal breakouts but you can help them buy keeping pores clean and free of bacteria if you want a drugstore salicylic cleanser neutrogena deep clean cleanser is good it doesn't dry your skin out ,

I've been experimenting w/ my skincare routine for a couple of years & have finally found something that works:
AM:
Cetaphil wash for oily skin, vitamin c serum (currently on Paula's choice), eucerin w/ SPF 30
PM:
Boscia oil (as my makeup remover), cetaphil wash w/ my Clarisonic, Paula's choice toner, PC 2% bha gel, PC antioxidant serum, argan oil for the dry spots around my nose/mouth, Clinique dramatically different gel, Mario badescu hyaluronic eye cream.
Credit these items to fading my old acne marks & giving me that glow!

@ traci I figured thank you so much I really appreciate you answering :D @ Jeanette what is bosica oil and how do you like Mario badescu products? I've really gotten into skin care in the past two years and can't find anything that's suits me! :(

The cleansing oil from boscia works as a regular cleanser, but in my case, I use it to remove my makeup especially waterproof mascara (it's gentle, no tugging & really removes all traces). I've only tried 2 MArio products..the eye cream & aloe Vera toner & was pleased. Skin care is so trial & error. Just a few wks ago, I tried a sheet mask from garnier & it gave me 3 huge cystic zits that have finally gone away, but left me w/ 3 new acne marks (grrrr!). Hang in there, keep trying new things til they work for ya. Btw, what's your skin type?

I have dry skin!! But I notice my skin is kinda changing since I got off my birth control like I have sudden breakouts!! But for sure dry skin!! I need to try that bosica oil I've been using neutragina non oil makeup remover I'm sure you have seen it!! It says no oil but you can tell it does have oil lol it seems like it doesn't really remove everything!! I only use it cause if I use some thing alcohol based my skin dries up horribly!!

Hi, Cindy!
I've got combination/oily skin that is prone to mild break-outs. I'm 29 years old and doing some anti-aging stuff as well. Hope this is useful.
AM: Paula's Choice Skin Balancing line cleanser with my Clarisonic (extra soft brush head) followed by the PC toner from the same line. Then, PC 1% BHA lotion, the Resist Ultra-Light antioxidant serum mixed with a couple drops of the PC vitamin C serum. I top it all off with the Resist Ultra-Light SPF 30 moisturizer.
PM: Same cleanser and toner. I use the PC 1% BHA most nights as well, but swap it out for the Resist 4% BHA foam once or twice a week for a little extra exfoliation. Follow that up with the Resist retinol serum, which is plenty moisturizing for my skin, and then spot treat with PC BHA 9 where I have blemishes or scars.
I got the PC face masks about a month ago now and I'm using both of them regularly, once a week. I usually dab the Skin Recovery hydrating mask around my eyes and then put on the Skin Balancing oil-absorbing mask on the rest of my face. 15-20 minutes later, my skin is smooth and blackheads are visibly reduced. Love it.

My program reads like a long grocery list because I switch products a lot depending on how my skin is behaving. To give you background I'm 40 years old with oily/combo skin. As of lately for my morning routine I cleanse with my african black soap, serum is an antioxidant with vitamin c and peptides, moisturizing spf30 and pm I cleanse with a gel based cleanser that also acts like a eye makeup remover followed by either my gentle aha moisturizer or retinol. As you age your cell turnover starts to slow down and I notice that on my skin if I get lazy and don't stay on top of it then I start to breakout. I saw you mention using anti-aging products and experiencing breakouts. If you're still in your early 20's all that might be too much for your skin causing excessive cell turn over which then results in the breaking out. When your younger that cell turn over moves much faster than a 40 year olds aging skin. And the rich creams geared towards the aging are too heavy for oily reactive young skin. I hope that makes sense. Just don't over exfoliate either by using multiple products that offer the same thing. Like Traci said just keep it simple. When you start reaching 35+ then its time to start pulling out the big guns.

Thanks, Cindy! Actually, all of the products I listed are from Paula's Choice, just different lines from that same company. I'm a little obsessed, in case you couldn't tell.

@Elizabeth I need to looks for that Paula's choice it sounds interesting!! @ Shelly You DO NOT LOOK UR AGE AT ALL!! Your skin is also very pretty!! The breakouts I'm talking about are all hormonal!! I got of my brith control so my skin is kinda changing!! It's getting very dull!! I've always suffered from dry skin though.
