So for my new job I'm not allowed to use any nail polish except for clear coat. No light colors or anything. Or acrylics. Is there anything I can do to keep my nails from looking bad? I just don't want them to look like I don't take care of them.

File them, push back your cuticles and buff them. Then apply a clear polish especially to make your nails look healthier. This is what I do because my job doesn't allow it either.

Buff the ridges off, push cuticles back, file them and use a cuticle balm/oil oh and a clear coat.
