More and more I find myself more curious about high-end makeup, but is it that much better? I've had high-end makeup applied to me so that's why I like the way it looks, but can you get the same great-fabulous look in photography with drug store?

What high end brands have the best products would you say?

I definitely think it's worth it, but I have sensitive skin that reacts to tons of ingredients, and most ingredients of low end/drugstore products break me out in hives.
Higher end products that cost more are able to use more costly ingredients. It really depends on the company and how they use their money. But most of the time they use higher end ingredients to make products last longer, more pigmented, apply better, etc.

And it really depends on the brand and product and personal opinion/skin. For example I love urban decay eyeshadows, but I hated the foundation. Or I find sephora lipsticks are fantastic, but I'm not a fan of their eye products.

How high end do you want to go? YSL, Chanel, Etc. Or like Nars, Smashbox? All of the above are good! Just trying to get a range of how much money you wanna spend

I think the more unique high end products (things like Diorskin airflash or benetint) are definitely worth it, but there are some amazing drugstore dupes for the more standard ones.

Or of course if you are looking for particular ingredients or other factors, high end is probably more reliable :)

I have normal skin with oily nose. My biggest self conscious thing is my splotchy red cheeks which I try to cover up w/ either a bit of foundation or concealer.
I've had Nars applied to me & liked the look. Then again, it's also about the way you apply it- highlighting, bronzing, etc.
I don't want to spend too much. If anything, one product from high end at a time. Probably foundation first & then others. But we are coming into summer season where I want to cover up my cheeks a little, but not too much (b/c can see everything in sun, and nothing too expensive

I think for skincare and bases (foundation, concealor, powder) yes other than that you can easily get good blushes eyeshadows etc..

I always find myself having to get high end eyeshadows and eyeliners because the drugstore ones are too powdery/not very pigmented/hard to apply. If you have sensitive skin you may want to get high end foundation, concealer, etc. I have had success with finding good drug store face products though. I like to get sephora brand, urban decay, or Mac eyeshadows because they are easy to apply and super pigmented. For eyeliner I'm obsessed with the Kat Von d tattoo liner. I use maybelline mascaras, revlon foundation. And maybelline concealer.

I don't really care for high end but I will say that I've never ever found a dupe for Estée Lauder Double Wear. That is the only high-end product I think is worth it.

Only foundation, the others you can get simply at the drugstore and get tons for the price of one actual high end product..

When I think of "high end" I think more pigmented. If you're wanting to get like a sheer high end foundation, don't. You're better off with a drugstore one but if you're really wanting vibrant colors that even look good in photos then go for higher end. I like the makeup forever eyeshadows as they don't look washed out in photos and look good no matter what.
I also like Kryolan foundations as they're really good with the undertones and coverage which I've had a problem with when it comes to drugstore makeup.
I don't need a lot of coverage but I prefer a higher coverage foundation since it's easy to sheer out.
If you're wanting light coverage then I'd get a higher coverage foundation and sheer it out with your favorite moisturizer and the foundation could last you a lot longer and you'd get the benefit of using a moisturizer you like.
As far as lipsticks I like the wet n wild Megalast lipsticks but the other drugstore ones smell horrible and aren't as pigmented as those so I tend to have more high end lipsticks.

I think it truly depends on the product and your skin type. Personally I'm a drugstore girl but I'm venturing out into high end. Do I see much of a difference worth the money? Not really. For example, I have my L'Oreal True Mat Foundation for $15 and I just bought MUFE Mat Velvet + foundation for $42. The MUFE actually makes my skin look more oily and it's a matte foundation, whereas the true match is not and is meant to look natural. For eyeliner I find they're all pretty much the same lol. Sometimes high end last longer than drugstore but I find them to pretty much be the same. Lipstick, I prefer high end but I have found drugstore brands that are good such as L'Oreal and Maybelline. Eyeshadow is the only thing I never buy drugstore. The pigmentation usually just isn't there.

I don't think so. I bought $100 worth of stuff from sephora and went off and bought the same products from elf for $20 and ended up liking the elf products way better.

It really depends on the brand/product, but usually you can get products just as good from a drugstorez.
