I had gel nails done and my ring finger nail cracked. When I took the nails off tonight I realized the nail cracked my real nail all down the middle aswell.
This is pretty painful and I'm worried it'll just completely rip off my nail bed.
I did the whole tea bad mending thing which seems to be holding strong but I'm worried.
And can I still get a set if nails done like this? I was looking to just get shellac done now and will that be strong enough to stop the nail from cracking more?

Don't put anything on it. No polish, no gel, no acrylic, nothing. Put a bandaid around the nail and wait for it to grow out COMPLETELY.
