My daughter had one, over time we just had to retrain her hair and they way we styled it made it less noticeable. It's virtually gone now. I don't know of any way to get rid of them per se, but maybe style it down and it will retrain the hair.

I don't know that you can ever get rid of it but as Leslie mentioned you can train your hair to grow a certain way with bobby pins and I find combing it in the direction I want when it's wet helps me.

What I did was when it was wet, bobby pin it down the way you want and then let it dry. If you do it every day, like Leslie said, you can train your hair. Worked for me! :)
