I disagree that sulfates and parabens are more harmful.
Parabens have not been linked to cancer, just present amongst the study and there has been absolutely no link.
Alcohol is far more damaging than any paraben. Parabens are just preservatives and are natural as well. Parabens are broken down by the body and we consume them everyday. Jacqueline has even explained several times that parabens are of no worry! ☺
Sulfates are not always harmful as well - just like there are good alcohols there are good sulfates!
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is the very stripping and which is the one you want to generally avoid - however something like Sodium Laureth Sulfate is very mild and a great cleansing agent.
Basically any shampoo free of Sulfate aka Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is generally over priced and a marketing gimmick. Why do I say this?
Because conditioners are free of these stripping sulfates and contain mild cleansing agents which is why I always say I wash my hair with conditioner ☺

Yep to everything kitty said. I primarily wash my hair with conditioner as well, a bottle of shampoo can last me a good 6 months because I rarely ever use the stuff. But conditioner I run through rather quickly.
The Organix line dried out my hair and left it feeling straw like while I was washing my hair, something in it didn't agree with me. I use the As I Am Coconut Cowash for conditioner or the Goddess Curls Shampoo.

Agree with the ladies. I've nearly stopped using shampoo (only purple shampoo to stop the brassy tones). I throw conditioner in my hair, put on a shower cap and then rinse at the end of the shower. Its made such a difference. My hair is so much healthier. It takes a very long time for it to get greasy now, spilt ends come very slowly and not half as much as before, its growing so quickly and its shiney! Can't recommend enough cutting out shampoo :)
