Alright. So I had my hair red as you can see in my profile. I used loreal hicolor (2 deep auburns and one red hot) and the color wasn't too bright. Not as bright as I wanted. It also somehow got a little purplish tint to it. Now I've purposely faded it- red hair looks terrible with my dress.
The week after next imma go get my dye. I'm hoping to use the same brand because it actually lasted pretty long considering I've been purposely fading it. I've been thinking of changing the color mixes though. I wanted to use magenta but how pink is the magenta? And how bright is using all red hot?
So I guess my question is what colors should I do next?

I've used Magenta and RedHot. The magenta isnt as pink as youd think. Especially on dark hair and definitely because youre mixing it. The magenta will just fade into a more brownish red color versus red hot which will fade more orange toned.

More than likely its probably just magenta since it has a lot of pink/purple undertones. Maybe there's a tube of Red, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't use hicolor again its for virgin hair that's never been colored before it lightens hair and deposits color in the same process. its very damaging to your hair. I would try a different dye.

Tabby I don't think its fair to generalize a product based off a sole experience. I've used Loreal hicolor numerous times on faded hair, and dyed hair and my hair has had minimal damage. Everyones experience with a product is different just remember that (:
