Hey guys! So a while ago I bought some clip in synthetic hair extensions that are really long. Well I curled them one day and, unfortunately, I broke my finger not long after I had styled them. Well once that happened I couldn't put them in and long story short I forgot about them. Well now with my short hair I don't always love to use heat on my hair to style it so I figured that I would use them again and when I get my hair dyed I will dye them as well. Well, they are totally tangled and frizzy and I have tried washing them to get the knots out and nothing is working! Please help! And p.s sorry about the long description.

I think it's because they're synthetic. It can't really be treated like human hair can, I remember I had a set of synthetic ones that I was messing around with when I first got into extensions and this same thing happened, I gave up on them and threw them out as they really weren't worth the hassle trying to get the knots out of. I'd invest in some new hair extensions that're human hair so you don't have this problem again.

I agree with Shaye.
When my extentions (human) were really knotted I'd spray the crap out of them with leave in conditioner and then brush. Really helps untangle. You could try that

Snthetic hair is not meant to be dyed. I don't know if they will go back to normal you can try combing the knots out but I don't know if that will help sorry :-/

I agree with Shaundi, I'm not sure if you'll be able to get them back to their normal state, curling synthetic hair just burns the extensions and causes them to get all frizzy and just not flattering, I think even if you get the knots out they'll still be frizzy looking.
