I'm not sure if this is the right category, so I apologize in advance!
In the past I have usually used Sally Hansen bleach for the face to lighten my upper lip hair. Recently, I've found that it doesn't really lighten anymore. I'm not sure why. I was considering threading, but I'm kinda nervous about regrowth. I don't want it to grow back darker or thicker.
If anyone can share their experiences with this I'd appreciate it! :)

It's a myth that hair grows back darker and thicker. It just looks like it because of the angle at which it grows back. Be extra careful with depilatory creams on your face. I had to walk around for 2 weeks with Nair burns (didn't do my research lol). It's probably not very good, but when I can't go to get my upper lip threaded, I shave. So your best bet is to get it threaded. It hurts quite a bit, but the pain goes away quickly. I haven't tried waxing so I can't tell you that! :)

Years ago I had a disaster with depilatory cream on my upperlip, chemical burn that felt horrible and looked even worse!!. I've been waxing my upperlip every 3 weeks for the past 10 years. Works for me:-)

Threading pulls the hair out at the root so there won't be thicker regrowth :) I've been threading for 10+ years and one thing I have noticed is that now I hardly need to thread and there is very little hair growth :) My mom has been doing this for so long that now she doesn't have any hair that grows in that area :) I think its pretty awesome haha.

I use Nail facial hair remover for sensitive skin and I love it.. And I'm noticing I have to use it less often! I'll upload a photo to show you what it looks like.

I've been using the bleach for years and it has always worked well. I want to try threading I'm just always so busy I forget to even get my eyebrows threaded. I do them about every 2-3 months and pluck in between really quick. Thank you for all your input ladies:)
