Wow you are stunning! red is so popular right now, it's always the default answer for a color change ;) I can see you doing caramel highlights like renay said, or a honey light brown, more than a red. for cut, I'd take maybe 1/2 an inch or less off the ends and do face framing layers to highlight your pretty facial structure
