Wayne Goss has a video on here under the popular section called 'how to make pores vanish' that helped me out with my application techniques.

Well, to get a glow you could mix in some kind of illuminizer with your foundation, if you are not already using highlighter. Contouring looks more appealing- using a beautyblender or switching up your brush strokes on your face makes the product apply evenly. For products, I use Kat Von D's foundation mixed with my Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation and it gives me the most perfect canvas without concealer or powder, really. And I know it sounds like it's really heavy but the Revlon foundation actually takes out the orange tinge to Kat's foundation, and it makes it easier to put on/lasts longer.

However these products will have a different effect on you if your skin isn't like mine- super oily, big pores, and acne prone.._.

As always, Jacqueline explained it perfectly!
As far as the finish you get goes it depends on the product and what you use with it. For example, the NARS Tinted Moisturizer has a very dewy finish on it's own. When I had it I added the Smashbox Halo Primer over it to have it look more matte.
The foundation and primer combo also matters. For example, when I use my Dior BB Creme with the Smashbox SPF primer I get super shiny later on. But when I use the hourglass primer I don't have that problem at all and it stays nice and matte all day.

It all depends on the skin type you have not all skin types are the same because oily skin doesn't have the same needs as dry skin and vice versa. It also depends on how you're applying it. I apply it with a special foundation brush they sell them any makeup brand. Foundation brushes give that full coverage and sleek flawless look just as well as a beauty blender. It also depends on the weather conditions, don't worry no girl's makeup stays on perfectly in hot muggy weather! There's many YouTube videos out there to show you how to get a flawless look step by step.
