I haven't cut my hair in a while and I've basically had the same hair since middle school. I want something different! I know I wanna get it long. But I don't know layers or what?

I agree with Sandra! Get a V shape meaning when you pull all your hair to the back, it forms a v shape. Also get some pieces in the front to frame your face :)
