My thing has been pin curls recently. I just wash my hair, let it air dry and then do the pin curls and sleep in them overnight. I can't.do them with wet or even damp hair though, otherwise I get the weird direction-kinked huge fro curls, which doesn't look great on me. haha.

I wash my hair that night and wear plaited pigtails in the morning the curls turn out quite nice.

What works for me n my fine but dense hair that always tends to be straight is foam rollers or wrapping my hair around socks and leaving them in over night - if you do it on wet hair then it comes out in ringlets in the morning on dry hair it's softer curls
