So I have long gel tip nails on and I don't want to spend a lot to goto the salon to remove them what things can I use at home?

I think you can soak them in acetone and they should loosen up quite a bit.

Puts peices of cotton balls or pads soak with acetone on each nail and wrap finger tips with peices of aluminum foil. get someone to help if possible as it can be a bit tricky doing in on your own. leave it on for about 10 minutes and when you remove the foil the gel should peel right off.
