When I leave conditioner in longer then usual (over night) I get a bad headache, have any of you experienced this?? Or is there a reason behind this??

It has to do with the chemicals in your conditioner. and maybe you should just put the condish on just your strands and not your roots.

Do you wear a cap or a satin scarf on your head? Because if you're only wearing a thin scarf your head gets colder than usual so that can explain the headache

When I do condition over a night I wear a cap and on top a thin satin scarf and a pashmina on it to keep my head warm and I sleep like a baby lol ;)

Sometimes...but I think it has to a lot to do with the fact that the fragrance is overpowering.

At least for me it is and it sets off a mild headache.

When I want to do a deep conditioning I only leave the conditioner in for an hour , 2 at the max. At the salon they never leave the conditioner for any longer than that. When I was younger I'd leave mu conditioner in over night- I don't really notice any difference between the now and then. Often times now ill even just deep condition in the shower after I shampoo I'll apply my conditioner and massage it I'm really good and then wash my body, exfoliate myself all over, shave etc- basically give myself a spa treatment in the shower which takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour an it's so relaxing and my hair and body comes out sort! And no headaches! I suffer terribly from chronic migraines and this does not give me a headache of any kind.

Almost forgotten mother is a hairdresser and she is the one who told me that leaving conditioner in all night is over kill.

I totally agree with Nicole.. Jus leave it for an hour and the results will be same as over night.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond to my slide or what ever it's called, I guess I'll stop with the over night conditioning
