So I once splurged and bought a high end line of shampoo and conditioner.
Every time I use it it makes my hair a horrible mess.
The shampoo is very much a clarifying one so it just makes your hair feel knotted. And the conditioner isn't very moisturizing.
I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to comb my hair now.
So my opinion is, don't splurge for the expensive shampoos and conditioners.
Use good after washing products like leave in conditioners and heat sprays.

Thank you for your review, right to say not all high end is worth it.

Thanks Jenna! I was going to try those exact products, I'll stick to my Dove shampoo and conditioner then:)

Definitely not. Mostly you're just buying the brand and not a quality product.
The only time I ever really wanna go for high end is when I have blonde in my hair and I like using the purple shampoos to help tone it.

My favorite shampoo and conditioner is the herbal essence long term relationship line. It is so good, it's made for long hair!

I like some bed head products as well. I'd say bed head is between commercial and high end brand cause you can buy it at salons but also at Walmart or the drug store.

TIGI is a high end brand totally worth the money. If you're in the UK then they sell it at TK Maxx for £10.

Thanks. I stick to tresemme, and always let the conditioner sit on my hair for a good 5 min before rinsing. I use its a 10 leave in conditioner and its amazing.

Personally, I don't care if my shampoo and conditioner are high end or low end; so long as neither contains sulfates or sodium chloride. My $15 L'oreal EverStrong line works just as well as my $50 Unite line.

I have to disagree with you there my dear - low end shampoos n conditioners dry out my hair personally and tend to do more damage than good - iono about redken but my Paul Mitchell products are amazing I use the moisture line n it really has made a difference for my hair personally before I had color damaged hair from bleaching my black hair - and after cutting out all the bleach and trying to recover nothing really worked but the PM moisture line - now I rarely get split ends until 6 months or more after a haircut and I love how healthy my hair is now thnx to those products - I also use their heat protecting spray, and the super skinny serum as well which both are great for preventing damage from heat n straightening

I will say I agree with you to an extent. I don't think every high end brand is worth the money, but a few I have tried really do an amazing job and I felt were worth every penny. My all time favorite brand for hair care is Aveda. They use quality all natural ingredients and smell amazing too. My hair has done a complete 180 and is back to being super healthy since I started last year.

Thanks for sharing! I agree, it's not about being high end and low end. It's about the ingredients in it to help your hair.
I have used Tresemme for years, and I know their conditioners are free of harsh sulfates and contain enough mild cleansers to clean my hair with. I've tried some other brands but I need a big bottle since I have to wash my hair everyday.
