I have thick, curly hair that is in constant need of moisture, so I feel your pain. Here's what I can recommend to you:
-Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Moisturizing conditioner. Works absolute wonders and smells heavenly :)
-Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask. Smells great as well, and makes my hair so soft, thanks to the Argan oil inside :)
-OGX Hydrating Macademia Oil Intensive Mask. A lot of ladies here on BL swear by it.
All of these you can buy at Ulta :) Good luck in your hair conditioning quest!

WEN worked really good for my hair. It is a cleansing conditioner and any cleansing conditioner is ideal for dry damaged hair. Cleansing conditioners are essentially conditioners with a higher concentration of detergents than found in standard ones. Shampoo has too many detergents in it which can be harsh on fine or dry hair, the no-poo method may also be a good option for you. It's a 'shampoo diet' where you cleanse your hair with only conditioner.

Devacurl. It's a bit expensive, but it's perfect for trying to get moisture back and it's ideal for curly and wavy hair :)

If you can get past a powder smell, pureology strength cure is awesome.
