I'm really pretty new to makeup, and I tried doing a smokey-eye using what I had. Does this look okay? I don't even have brushes, so please forgive the sloppiness. But do you think this looks okay to wear during the day?

I'd recommend getting some brushes lovely, you can get a pretty cheap set if money is an issue from like the dollar shop or something,
Although great work on your eyes, this is fine for the day!!!
Just keep practising!!!

I wouldn't call it a smoky eye. It isn't sultry or dark enough, and it looks like you have no contrast in the crease. Did you use a primer? because it looks kind of splotchy. I think if you just fixed it up a bit it would be perfect for (the average person's) daytime wear. It was a very good idea, but poorly executed. And I mean this in the least offensive way possible. I understand though, not having brushes has a HUGE impact on the outcome. I'm sure once you build up your brush collection you can try to do this layout again and it will probably be way better.
Best of luck to you. :)

Thank you all!! And I plan on getting some brushes when I can. I'm hoping after Christmas. :) But this was the first try. And I didn't want it to be too dark, but I'll try again.
