Best straighteners/flat iron?

I'm looking for a not too pricey pair of straighteners but I want to use them to curl my hair as well as straighten :) any recommendations? I've heard good things about GHDs but they are quite expensive and I want to see if there is anything similar or better :) thanks.

The purple Remington straightner. it really works and helps control my frizzy hair, which is super bad because of dying and using heat a lot. its about 30$ and I love it:)
