Personally what I like is the Mac Pro Longwear concealer. It's very light, but covers dark circles extremely well, and you don't need much product to cover up everything you need covered. It's also a lovely texture, blends out really nicely and doesn't crease. I really do love it. If you're not completely sold, Mac does give out free samples so you can try it out before buying a full sized product.

MAC PL concealer is good but I've been wanting to try the NYX concealer as well! Plus the MAC coloring changed. I wonder if they will let me swap out a slightly used bottle of concealer for a different color w/o a receipt?

I think the best way to do it so it's not visible at all is 1 - an eye cream that diminishes the dark circles - 2 - a peach color corrector to cancel the darkness that remains - 3 - a concealer that is one shade lighter than your skin tone or the exact same shade if you also have under eye bags
