My foundation has been going flakey, and cakey lately and i have no idea why. I havent changed my skin care routine or product or amount of the product, currently im using Sephoras Perfecting Cover Foundation, is it because im running out and the product is drying?

sometimes I add. olive oil or moisturizer to the back of my hand and mix it will the foundation before using the stippling brush to apply. Usually gives me more of a natural coverage.

Maybe your skin is just dry. If you have winter weather it really dries out the skin. Exfoliate to get rid of all the dead dried skin and moisturize

Make sure you exfoliate your skin and really moisturize before you apply your foundation. I suggest you try applying your foundation before your moisturizer dries completely!

It's most likely because your skin is dry. Exfoliate and moisturizer about 1/2 hour before applying.

I have oily skin and someone (not sure who) said you shouldnt exfoliate with oily skin, is that true?

What's your skincare routine? Are you using a primer underneath? (Actually, I wouldn't recommend using foundation *at all* at your age anyway. If you need to cover something, use a concealer and set it with a powder.)

No need to worry! I am famous for having a flaky nose and cheeks. Make sure you hydrate your skin! If you are like me and have a skincare routine, make sure you compensate from all the drying products you might be using. My skin was literally so thirsty and it was a combination of my skincare routine and the weather that made my skin angry, just make sure you use a moisturizer after washing your face so the makeup will stick to your face, and not your dry spots :) it might be best to splurge on a high end primer... after a few days my skin was back to normal!

I dont use primer and i dont have much of a skincare routine, i wash my face with clear and clear morning burst facial cleanser, and i use clearasil facial cleansing pads which do get rud of my acne, and for moisturizer i dont have an actual facial moisturizer its just body lotion but i find it does hydrate my skin
