Is minocycline really effective? I was told to use it for my cystic acne that are really annoying but when checked out the reviews about it, I think they're awful. Can you please share your thoughts about it?

Do you advise I try it out to check if my body is agreeable to it or it isn't just worth it?

Oh okay. Yeah, I do have a topical cream to go with it. I think I'll give it a try though. Maybe it would work for me. Or maybe not. But then I'll take the risk. Anyway, I could always take some antihistamine for any allergic reaction. Thanks Kelsey! :)

Thanks Becky. Yeah, I've reading a lot about that nauseous feels after taking the meds. Maybe I'd snack on with some crackers after taking them to avoid that? What do you think?

I'm on that right now. My Bach and chest acne is completely cleared and it cleared up my face a lot. I still have some though but it is not as bad as it was. I find if I take it in the morning with breakfast I don't have the nauseating symptoms.

I went on minocycline and got other side effects that I didn't like. :( a couple years later I ended up trying a million things that didn't work either. Recently I've gotten some microdermabrasion and peels done from a spa and I've seen a huge difference. I'm also using some higher end products that are specially formulated for my skin type so it's been really working. I suggest seeing a professional but don't settle with just the first option they throw at you! Find someone who really cares to help you and who will target the concerns you have.
