I found this on twitter and fell in love with it but I don't know how you do it. To me it looks like a French fishtail but I don't know how you do the bottom part before you twist it and pin it. Do any of you understand it?

Just do the French fishtail and GENTLY pull out the sides JUST a little bit ;)

To fish tails loosen them up by gently pulling on them and cris cross them over each other

Just french fishtail it then pull the small sections outward. Hope this makes sense.

Do the French fistail and then for the bottom part pull out only a few pieces of the fitail braid :D

Just slowly tug on the sides on them until they look like that.
