Two things: I agree with these ladies, the colors need to have more of a smooth and even transition to give the look more of a sense of fluidity. I also suggest taking the color up higher, at least until your crease. From there, you can blend it out so the line is soft, but the stopping point in the middle of your eyelid is a bit awkward and makes your look appear not to be complete, in my opinion. I do love your inspiration though, that's a really great starting point :)
