I have a hard time with blending. Every time I blend it comes out smudged. Anything that can help?

In the join area of the colour and your skin (area you want to blend) add a neatural colour that is the same as your skin for me it is mac yogurt. This means that when you blend you are blending into something and it is a lot easier.
