Sooo, I know this isn't what this site is for, but I reaaaally need help. I have been on the pil for about a year and have resently changed to the yazmin pil. Wich finally cleared op my skin after years of having pimples and reaaally bad scarring (It stands out extra because I look like a ghost). But now my doctor advises me to quit because he thinks there is a very slight chance that it is contributing to my bad physical condition, which has gotten worse since like half a year or so. I have been sick for years, so it is definetly not the cause. I am afraid the acne will come back.. Do you have some advise about dealing with quitting birthcontrol?

I was on Yasmin, I stopped taking it and I developed acne on my back, my chest & I had bad breakouts on my face

I stopped 4 weeks ago, I'm still trying to get rid of the acne on my back and chest but my face is clear

I just switched to Yasmin a few months ago. Yasmin is a very strong hormonal pill. If you can (I know you said you're coming off the pill) try and switch to Microlite or Celeste or even Yaz for a few months as they're much lighter and might ease you into being pill free a bit easier

But if you can't do that try the Neutrogena Spot Treatment. It has 2% Salicylic acid and I find it really good for getting rid of spots.

Will you be going to anther pill? I use levlen ED and it's been great in the 6 months I've been on it, no weight gain (which I was terrified of) no acne and no crazy mood swings lol. :)

I've been on the nexplonon (sorry most liking spelt wrong) and I like it. No acne or anything just nausea for the first month. I've been on it for about 8 months now and don't have to re do it for another 2 1/2 years.

Try a acne clarifying body wash. Some have 2% Salycilic Acid, some have Benzoyl Peroxide. I actually recommend the Benzoyl if your skin isn't terribly sensitive and just make sure to moisturize.

No, I'll quit birthcontrol alltogether for now and if my health gets better I'll check out other options, but not another pill. I'm not romantically involved right now so that's not an issue I have to think about soon

I started taking birth control only because I kept breaking out and I'm soooo happy cause now I never breakout... my skin is soooo clear compared to before. it's probably the brand of bc.
