Pure peppermint oil/extract helps the burn cool and set in. Mix some in a moisturizer to help with peeling if it gets to that point

Yes, but mixing it with a moisturizer helps. We had to use it on my brother when he had sun poisoning and it really helped. Just if you put too much it will feel like you have frostbite lol.

NO peppermint lol..

Yes to oatmeal. Plain oatmeal soothes skin and neutralizes pain and takes the redness away. I mixed it with a little water to make a paste and I washed it off and it wasn't red or painful anymore. Instant relief.

Put on A LOT OF ALOE VERA for the next few days. it should make the red and burning go down, but the red will take a few days. you won't look like a tomato tomorrow though.

Sunburns are horrible but what I usually do to calm mine down first take a cold shower or cold bath it will soothe the warm burned skin then my favorite thing is just to lather myself in aloe vera gel hope you feel better :D

At night, take Noxzema and put a rather thick layer wherever you are sunburned , then cover up with a t-shirt and go to sleep, it will be MUCH better come morning. You can repeat this as many nights as needed, although I can't imagine you needing it more than 3 nights... Hope this helps! Msg me if you have any questions! xx

@Juliette that's exactly what my mom used to have me do when I was a kid! It does seem to help cool it down temperature wise while sleeping too!

When I had sun poisoning, I soaked napkins in cold milk and applied it to my burns. I'd also take baths in black tea (soak a bunch in a lukewarm bath).
You jut basically have you get moisture back into your skin. Anything that'll moisturize will help you. Aloes awesome for that. There's also aloe Vera gel with lidocaine in it. Lidocaine is a topical pain reliever. Pop it in the fridge and it feels so good when you put it on.

Noxzema can be really harsh on sensitive skin. I truly wouldn't recommend it. Lotion (I prefer Hemp lotion with Aragon oil) and then a thin layer of almond oil.

Get a prescription for silverol. it is simply a life saver!! I am super pale so I get sunburns pretty often unfortunately and that cream helped me every time. also I really recommend the garnier 7 days body lotion. it has a cooling affect and it really helps sooth the skin. for max effect you can keep it in the refrigerator
