I like to use my concealer to brighten areas as well as conceal like I'll put it on my t zone to brighten it but it seems to be the culprit of making me look cakey I use the bye bye under eye by it cosmetics but I was wondering what concealer could I use for that without looking cakey?

I don't layer concealer on my T-zone, and I, too, like to brighten the area. I mix a little MAC Strobe Cream in my foundation their or dab it on lightly after. Sometimes, I apply a hint of Josie Maran Argan Oil light..just a tiny pat with my fingers.

The strobe is a light pearl glow without sparkle. I'd get a sample before purchasing. It contains green tea and I find it soothing and hydrating. Vitamin C serum will naturally brighten your skin and reduce the need for illumination. I find I need very little product to highlight since using C. Good luck!

To highlight you would want to use a creamy consistency for a concealer, preferably a shade one to two shades lighter than your complexion. But I wouldn't recommend an under eye concealer to brighten they are two different formulations, for two different problems. And try using a concealer more your complexion shade to cover up blemishes or any discoloration. Hope that helps!
