Cover girl 3 in 1 HELP.

So I bought the cover girl stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation and I've been using it almost everyday. I'm too crazy about it but I think it's because I'm applying it wrong maybe? Any tips n tricks on how I can apply it successfully?

I use a beauty blender or a round top kabuki. Mine is from Sedona lace.
